CANTEMUS DOMINO European Review of Sacred Choral Music - Town of Poggio Rusco

AMET Associazione Musica E Tecnologia with the collaboration of the Municipality of Poggio Rusco and Progetti e Dintorni Edizioni Musicali organizes “CANTEMUS DOMINO” European Review of Sacred Choral Music.
The important and prestigious initiative is sponsored and supported by the Diocesi of Mantua, by the Parish of Poggio Rusco, by the Regional Council of Lombardy, by the Province of Mantua, by the City of Mantua, by the City of Poggio Rusco (MN), by the City of San Benedetto Po (MN).

The purpose of the Review is the musical and cultural interchange. The Review is reserved to European Choirs of amateur choristers of any vocal ensemble, the repertoire must be sacred (christian repertoire). Each participating choir (maximum 6) will perform in two evening concerts at Chiesa Ss. Nome di Maria in Poggio Rusco and at Basilica Palatina di Santa Barbara in Mantua; all together they will sing in the Holy Mass at the Church SS. Name of Mary in Poggio Rusco.

Organization will product a Cd of the most representative songs of the participating choirs, the recordings will take place in the places of state of the choirs in order to have the Cd available during the Review.
The selected choirs will receive a reimbursement of travel expenses and a guided tour in historical and artistic places of Poggio Rusco and Mantua.

After the great opinion of the past editions, the Review wants to emphasize the importance and the spiritual value of the sacred choral music that finds new interpretations and expressions from different choirs coming from several ambiences even far from each other but that can complement and enrich together; the Cd will stands in witness of this aim.
